What to look for in local online advertising?

July 1st, 2007 by advertising online

a link to the past asked:

I’m considering advertising in one of the local Yellow Pages directories online. For example, advertiser X could publish my ad in the “North Oakland Area”, guaranteed top spot when people search for specific terms. What are some qualifying questions I should ask before committing to 2 months @ $205 / month?
I run a local computer service.

wouldnt it make more sense to go with yahoo or google … because even locals are more likely to search with these engines.
